The In_equality Workshop Series is a meeting of all Fellows of the Cluster (external, internal, postdoc, phd). This meeting is intended for the discussion of ongoing work and the joint, interdisciplinary exchange of ideas across hierarchies in the sense of a workshop, sometimes also in the form of round-table discussions. 

The In_equality Workshop also serves to intensify dialogue with the independent and external members/guests of the Cluster. All members and friends of the Cluster are therefore invited to take part in the workshops.

Predicting support of populist politics. A global comparison

Herbert Kitschelt is Professor of Political Science at Duke University, North Carolina. He specializes in comparative political parties and elections in established and new democracies, comparative public policy and political economy, as well as 20th century social theory. Among his numerous publications is the book The Radical Right in Western Europe (with Anthony J. McGann), which received the 1996 Woodrow Wilson Foundation Award from the American Political Science Association. His latest projects include a global comparison of citizen-politician linkage mechanisms in democracies, and a renewed effort to map and account for the transformation of political party system in postindustrial democracies. Herbert Kitschelt is External Senior Fellow of the Cluster in the Summer Semester 2024.
