Michael Kartmann
I have been a doctoral student of Prof. Dr Stefan Volkwein since October 2022. In my dissertation, I am working on the optimisation and model reduction of switched low-temperature heating networks as part of the BMBF ElAN Project (Efficient local waste heat utilisation in low-temperature networks).
Furthermore, I am part of the YMMOR Gruppe (Young Mathematicians in Model Order reduction). Current codes and software can be found on Github.
Research Topics:
- Adaptive Reduced-Order Modeling
- Multiobjective optimization
- PDE constrained optimization and Optimal Control
- Domain Decomposition Methods for nonlinear preconditioning
Programming languages:
- Matlab
- Python
- R
- Latex
Teaching:
- Summer Term 2023: Supervision of the lecture "Optimierung IV" of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Behzad Azmi together with Andrea Petrocchi
- Winter Term 2022/23: Supervision of the lecture "Optimierung II" of Jun.-Prof. Dr. Behzad Azmi together with Dr. Jan Bartsch
