Abstract: This talk is about the enclosed area preserving curve shortening flow and the length preserving curve flow for embedded curves in the plane. We will show that under certain initial condition, the curves stay embeddedness. Furthermore, we can exclude singularities for the area preserving flow and show convergence to a circle of immortal solutions in both cases.
