Computer Application in Mathematics
Description and content
The course consists of a weekly lecture (75 min) and a tutorial (60 min). The focus of this lecture is the introduction to basic programming techniques using the Python programming language. Basic numerical concepts, such as number representation on the computer, complexity and memory requirements of algorithms are explained. In addition, an introduction to Latex is given. In the second half of the semester, the programming techniques learned will be applied to mathematical applications in a project work lasting several weeks and documented using Latex.
