I have been a research and teaching assistant of Prof. Dr. Robert Denk since October 2018.
Research
During my PhD, I have investigated elliptic and parabolic boundary value problems of fourth order with Wentzell or dynamic boundary conditions both on bounded Lipschitz domains, as well as smoother domains. Those are boundary conditions where the differential operator itself is allowed to appear on the boundary, which raises the question in which sense the appearing traces are well defined. The following methods are central for the underlying investigations:
- Form methods and semigroup theory
- Weak traces and abstract Green's formulae
- Parabolic theory
- Function spaces with mixed order
- Analysis of Fourier symbols
